Why You’re Stuck at Level 1 (And How to Finally Rank Up)
Sometimes, no matter what we do, we can’t seem to achieve the things we want, become the version of ourselves we envision, or attract what we desire. We write down affirmations, recite them daily, but years later, our life still looks the same.
That’s because what you currently experience as "real life" is simply a feedback loop of what you formerly believed to be true about yourself.
And the less aware you are of this loop, the less control you have over your life.
The Trap of the Feedback Loop
Let’s say you want to make more money. You set the conscious intention to become rich. You’re writing down/reciting affirmations “ I am rich”. You’re visualising your life as a £100,000 a month earner. The character you embody with it. You align your thoughts, emotions and intentions to that goal. But do you think £100,000 will magically appear in your bank account the next day? Of course not.
Instead, your current reality—the overdrafted bank account, the unpaid bills, making £1000 a month—still reflects the old beliefs and past decisions that got you here.
How you react to this determines whether you reinforce your past or embody your new intention.
If you see that negative bank statement and say, “Well, I guess I’m not rich after all. This proves it.”—then you’ve just handed control back to your old self. You let external circumstances dictate your being. You slip back into the very identity that created your financial struggle in the first place.
Instead, you must recognize that this is simply residual evidence of your old self. See it for what it is: proof of a past identity—not the one you are embodying now.
The key is to stay certain in your new intention, no matter what the “outside world” is currently showing you.
When your subconscious tries to drag you back into old thought patterns—“This is just who I am. I only make this much.”—flip the script. Instead of letting “counter-evidence” weaken your intention, use it to strengthen it.
Tell yourself:
"Ah, I see it. This is just my old reality playing out. But this is not me anymore."
Your inner authority must override the "outer" authority of temporary facts.
How to Transform Like a Pro
Let’s continue with the money example.
So, how do you actually become rich without slipping back into your old identity?
First, you need to understand this:
Your subconscious mind operates within a frame of reference—a "box" built from years of conditioning.
Most people make the mistake of trying to jump outside of this box overnight. They set an enormous goal—like making £100,000 a month—when their subconscious is still wired to the reality of making £1,000 a month.
It’s like expecting someone who has never run a mile to complete a marathon tomorrow.
Your subconscious needs to be worked with, not fought against. Instead of trying to force a reality that feels completely out of reach, the key is to expand your box—gradually shifting your subconscious comfort zone until your new reality becomes effortless.
The perfect analogy for this is progressive overload. You don’t go from squatting 100kg to 150kg in a single session—you’d either fail or injure yourself. The same principle applies to your subconscious mind.
So ask yourself:
From the standpoint of making £1,000 a month, does £100,000 next month feel possible?
What about £50,000?
£20,000?
£10,000?
£5,000?
Whichever number feels instantly doable—without hesitation or mental resistance—that’s your true target.
That number sits within your subconscious comfort zone, meaning your mind can actually conceive it as achievable. This matters because when you work toward a goal from a place of confidence, you naturally attract more confidence. Success builds on success.
On the other hand, if your target feels too far-fetched, it triggers doubt and uncertainty. And just like confidence attracts confidence—uncertainty attracts uncertainty.
This is how people unconsciously sabotage their goals: they aim for something too big, too soon, and end up reinforcing doubt rather than belief.
This example does not just apply for money. It applies to relationships, health, family trauma etc..
